Hello and welcome!

My name is Gabriel Ortiz, and I am the author of the Tales of Carmendia series.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico before moving to the mainland United States to attend college. Fantasy has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up immersed in stories such as The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and The Chronicles of Narnia, and later found myself drawn to worlds like The Witcher and Game of Thrones. Those stories sparked a lifelong love of adventure, imagination, and storytelling.

As a child, I spent countless hours filling notebooks with stories and daydreaming about distant kingdoms, ancient magic, and heroic journeys. During one of those daydreams, the idea for Tales of Carmendia was born.

I began writing this series more than a decade ago as a creative outlet and a way to bring the world in my imagination to life. The journey from that first idea to publication was filled with rewrites, revisions, moments of doubt, and plenty of persistence. After years of work, I am proud to share Tales of Carmendia Book One: The Broken Kingdom with readers.

Tales of Carmendia is an epic fantasy adventure spanning multiple books. Within its pages you will find magic, swordplay, legendary creatures, dangerous quests, and battles that will shape the fate of kingdoms.
